Who We Are

The Association was started in 1994 by concerned hoteliers in an effort to re-establish the tourism industry along the Wild Coast. From an informal structure the Association has rapidly grown and is now a fully constituted body that is widely recognized as the official voice for the Wild Coast Region. With board representation from both local government and tourism authorities, the Association is now recognized as the most powerful private marketing body in the Eastern Cape.

Membership is open to all service providers and interested parties in the tourism industry from tour guides and operators through hotel's, guest houses and lodges. The benefits of tourism to the economy of the region are well known. It is the largest provider of jobs on the Wild Coast and offers tremendous employment opportunities to the unskilled and semi-skilled market. The sustainability of this unique environment is paramount to the future of all communities along the Wild Coast. Tourism creates a vibrant market for local handcraft and helps to stimulate small business opportunities in this field. But tourism does not just happen! To flourish and grow we need your help.

What We Do....

We at the Wild Coast Holiday Association strive to be a source of information and marketing resources's to all of our members, and with continued support from our members we intend on making the Wild Coast a world class destination for local and international guests alike.
